Life is a mixture of pleasant and unpleasant experiences. While most of us would prefer to be happy and pain-free all the time, unpleasant emotions, such as sadness, anxiety, stress, anger, and guilt are all part of the human experience. Sometimes we get “hooked” on these thoughts or emotions and they prevent us from living our lives to the fullest. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can change our relationship with unpleasant experiences so they have less of an impact on our daily lives and do not prevent us from doing the things that matter most.

Imagine how your life would be different if unpleasant thoughts, sensations, or emotions were no longer a struggle and instead were simply background noise. ACT is a very active approach that will provide techniques you can use every day to live a rich, full, meaningful life, even when there are challenges.
